Intake
Receptionist
Receptionists greets clients in a respectful, friendly and timely manner while ensuring client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Interviewer
Interviewers speak with Outreach clients who are seeking assistance. These volunteers have significant contact with the public, client & staff.
Data Entry
Data Entry specialists enter client information into a customized database.
Food Pantry
Daily Operations
Daily Operations volunteers assist clients through their full-shop process. They also stock shelves, accept food and other donations, perform routine cleaning tasks and help organize and maintain the food pantry.
Pick-Up Driver
Pick-Up Drivers are responsible for driving Outreach's cargo van to pick-up and deliver weekly food orders from multiple locations.
Programs
Backpack Snacks Packer
Backpack Snacks Packers pack and store bags of food which are delivered to Polk County Schools each Friday during the academic year.
Backpack Snacks Deliverer
Backpack Snacks Deliverers bring packaged bags of food to Polk County Schools on Thursday which are then distributed to students on Friday afternoons.
Wood Yard
Wood Yard volunteers help split and stack firewood for Outreach's firewood program.
This program required moderately intense physical activity.
Special Events
Special events volunteers support Outreach special events and programs. This is a great way to become involved with Outreach if your schedule can not accommodate weekly participation.
