"I want to thank Outreach for helping my family out. Because if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have food for my six year old son. I just wanted to thank y'all from the bottom of my heart."                            ~ Outreach client
Extra Extra ....
Outreach Christmas Card Art Contest Winners announced!
Outreach hosted an art contest this Holiday season for Polk County elementary schools. Students from participating schools, Polk Central, Saluda and Sunny View, drew a picture depicting "what giving means to me". Two winners were selected from each school: one from Kindergarten - 2nd grade and another from grades 3-5. Each contest winner received a $25 gift card and was recognized with their art work printed on Outreach's annual Christmas cards. Thank you to these schools for their participation and to all Polk County Elementary School students for their amazing art work submissions!

It Takes a Village
At Outreach, we have over 7000 visits each year from Polk County neighbors requesting assistance with food, financial assistance (rent & mortgage, utilities, medical and dental) and special programs for children (Feed-a-Kid, School Supplies and Holiday) and veterans.  Without the help of our generous community, we could not provide this level of assistance to those in need. We're all in this together and at Outreach, we're grateful for all you do to help our community. Thank you!
