About Us
Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry is nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina in the town of Columbus. We are located just above the
South Carolina border near Landrum, South Carolina. Outreach serves families residing in Polk County North Carolina that are in crisis and need assistance with day-to-day necessities such as, food, heat, and housing.
Since 1991, Outreach has served with caring hearts and helping hands to meet the needs of countless people in crisis. Many of those in need come to us because they are in a short-term crisis and find that they are unable to pay the electric bill, buy food for their children and family or perhaps need emergency housing until a more permanent home can be found. Low-income and poverty often accompany those we serve and thus depend on the services of Outreach in times of crisis. Thanks to the generosity of the board, staff, volunteers, donors, and countless friends, Outreach continues to provide quality services to those that need a helping hand and compassionate heart.
