About Us
Outreach is nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina in the town of Columbus, just east of Tryon, NC. Outreach serves Polk County families and individuals that need assistance with day-to-day necessities such as food, heat and housing. Since 1991, Outreach has served with caring hearts and helping hands to meet the needs of countless people. Many of those in need come to us because they are in a short-term crisis and are unable to pay the electric bill or buy food for their children. Others live with the devastating effects of long-term poverty and thus depend on the services of Outreach. Thanks to the generosity of our board, staff, volunteers, donors, and countless friends, Outreach continues to provide quality services to those in need. Our Vision
The vision of Outreach is to be the heart of a unified, community-wide effort through which no individual or family in Polk County goes hungry, cold or without shelter. Hours of Operation Monday & Thursday: 9:00am - 12:00pm & 1:00pm - 6:00pm Tuesday & Wednesday: 9:00am - 12:00pm & 1:00pm - 4:00pm Friday: closed |
