Margot Carter joined Outreach in 2016 as Communications, Marketing and Development Director and is now the organization's fifth Executive Director in its 35 year history. Margot holds a BA in English and minors in Public Relations, Mass Media and Organizational Communications from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Prior to employment at Outreach, Margot worked in the financial industry for 18 years with First Union National Bank and Bank of America. Margot resides in Tryon with her husband, Polk County native, Robert Carter and two children, daughter Rollins, a student at UNC-Charlotte and son Lawson, who attends UNC-Chapel Hill.

Georgia Ballard is Outreach's Programs Manager. Georgia works part time and has responsibility for Outreach programs including Backpack Snacks, Holiday programs, EATS, Firewood, Diapers and Good360 Gift in Kind programs. Georgia also serves as Outreach's representative with the Summer Food Program, run by local churches and developed for Polk County students and their families. Georgia started working with Outreach in February 2022.

Kathy is Outreach's Receptionist and works in our Intake office. She works closely with Outreach volunteers and clients.
Cliff Cameron, Food Pantry Operations Manager

Cliff Cameron is Outreach's Food Pantry Operations Manager. Cliff is responsible for the day to day management of our food pantry which includes organizing and leading the daily operations of our food pantry, ordering food for our pantry shelves and other food related programs, working with our volunteers and spending time with clients. Cliff, an experienced Executive Chef, was born in Baton Rouge LA, grew up in Charlotte NC and moved to Polk County over a decade ago with his wife, Polk County native, Stewart and two sons, Coble and Callaway.

Alyssa has been involved with Outreach for nearly four years as a dedicated volunteer. With a passion for community service and non-profits, she is now pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Appalachian State University. A Polk County resident since 2021, Alyssa is excited to work alongside our wonderful volunteers and incredible community.

Ray Norden is Outreach's Accounting Associate. Ray provides part time support with day to day bookkeeping tasks. Ray has a long and tenured background in the financial industry. Ray, a former professional polo player, lives with his wife Cindy, their dogs and horses on their farm in upstate South Carolina.

Michelle Reedy is Outreach's Client Services Manager. Michelle's responsibilities include client intake, home repair and case management for our Life Works program. Michelle has worked with Outreach since 2007. Prior to her time with Outreach, she worked with the Polk County Department of Social Services. Michelle has a broad background in social work, including experience managing client programs.

A Polk County native, Stephen holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies from Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Stephen's focus will be on coordinating client programs and strengthening communications between Outreach and the Polk County community.

Theresa grew up in Chapin, SC. She relocated to Polk County in 2016 with her husband Jason and three sons, Matt, Corey and Ben. Theresa says her passion for Outreach and our community grew while serving as a volunteer. In her free time, Theresa enjoys shopping, reading and spending time with her family. Theresa's primary responsibilities include financial reporting and accounts payable & receivable, managing Outreach Operations finding opportunities for efficiencies, overseeing buildings and grounds and serving as the primary point of contact for our renters living in Horse Creek Village. |
