- Outreach Programs & Communications Manager
Volunteer & Events Manager job responsibilities and qualifications -
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications include:
- Recruiting, training, appreciating and retaining Outreach volunteers
- Maintaining all Outreach volunteer schedules and ensuring all volunteer shifts are covered
- Ensuring all volunteer related documentation is current and up to date; this includes, but not limited to individual volunteer records and the Volunteer Training Manual
- Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events, training sessions and activities
- Oversee and manage the Outreach Ambassador program
- Build relationships with Polk County community organizations, clubs and businesses. participate in community volunteer recruiting events.
- Organize and coordinate Outreach annual fundraising events including Game of Throws Disc Golf Fundraiser, Empty Bowls, Tryon Half Marathon & Fall for the Foothills race and Helping Hands Society Donor Appreciation Event.
- Act as Outreach point of contact for all community run events that may involve or otherwise benefit Outreach
- Create event marketing materials (banners, flyers, etc) that align with Outreach's brand identity
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
- Professional maturity and ability to work well with others. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- ability to calmly juggle multiple priorities and excel in a busy, fast paced environment
- Proven organization skills
- Exceptional computer skills including MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva or other marketing design software, database management
- Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates degree required
Programs & Communications Manager job responsibilities and qualifications -
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications include:
- Coordinate all Outreach Client Programs - Holiday Gifts for children and seniors, School Supplies, Backpack Snacks, Good360, EATS, Seniors, Firewood and more
- Identify improvements and efficiencies for Outreach programs
- Ensure Outreach program are meeting the needs of our clients using surveys and other feedback methods
- Work with Outreach volunteers to execute programs
- Work with Outreach Executive Director to execute Outreach's Marketing and Communications Plan
- Draft Outreach communications for publication including but not limited to monthly newsletters, articles for Outreach's website, social & print media
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
